Learning outcomes

Learning goal

Ability to identify the right diagnosis in order to use the right treatment for each parodontopaty he/she would come across.

To reach this skill the student needs to know everything about the biological oral healthy ecosystem and to recognize the presence of patology and pathogenetic differences.

More over the student should be able to use x-rays to make diagnosis and decide which will be the following treatment on these bases.

After diagnosis the student should know how to treat the patient with not surgical or surgical treatment that could involve bone and/or mucogengival surgery.

Program

Examination of patient with periodontal diseases.
Treatment protocols of patient with periodontal diseases.
Systemic therapy.
Initial periodontal treatment: infection control.
Principles of surgical therapy :(conservative,mucogingival,regenerative e resective surgical)
Prosthetic and occlusal terapy.
Orthodontics and periodontology
Supportive therapy periodontal .
Halitosis
