Learning outcomes
OBJECTIVES
The course will provide students with the basic concepts to to approach experimental research in the field of rehabilitation medicine.
KNOWLEDGE:
1. To outline the characteristics of "profit" and "non-profit" research in the field of rehabilitation medicine.
2. Know the main research calls for rehabilitation medicine.
3. Define the main components of a research project in the field of rehabilitation medicine.
4. Distinguish the different items that make up the budget of a research project in the field of rehabilitation medicine
5. Establish the main criteria for the competitive assessment of research projects in the field of rehabilitation medicine
SKILLS
6. Choose the most appropriate area for the presentation of a research project
7. Write a "profit" and "no profit" research protocol to be presented to an Ethics Committee
8. Analyze the various budget items of a research project
9. Evaluate the quality of a research project

2. What is a funded research call
- Characteristics of a funded research call
- Access to a funded research call
- The main research calls funded in rehabilitation
3. How to write a research project
- Writing a project for a funded research call
- Writing a research project to be submitted to the Ethics Committee
4. How to write the budget of a research project
- Analysis of the different budget items
- Define the budget in the light of the funded research call
5. How to evaluate the quality of a research project
METHODS
The meetings in the classroom with provide lectures (with slides), group discussions and exercises, in order to teach the student the topics described above.

Examination Methods
REQUIREMENTS OF ACCESS TO EXAM
To attend the exam, 75% of class hours are required.
The presence in class will be recorded by signature.
FEATURES OF THE EXAM
The objective of the exam consists in verifying the level of achievement of the previously indicated training objectives.
The exam will consist of a written test with multiple-choice questions taken from the topics discussed in class.
