Learning outcomes

The teaching focuses on the fundamentals of nursing care, in particular on the elements of caring for the person and the family, the positive relationship between nurse and patient, and with a perspective of physical, psychosocial and relational needs and care.
It also proposes to provide the conceptual and methodological basis for identifying nursing care needs, planning interventions and evaluating the outcomes. The teaching is aimed at making the student acquire the skills to proceed in the collection of data through the methods of observation, interview and objective examination, in the analysis and understanding of patient manifestations. It provides the methodological basis for assessing problems or risks, also through the use of scales or tools to make decisions and propose prevention, treatment and monitoring interventions with respect to the needs and problems of the person. This teaching is built on the knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
The contents are linked to the nursing modules of the second semester and of the 2 and 3 years, in particular to clinical medical and surgical nursing and chronicity, to the report form of help in care processes and professional ethics and regulation. This course integrates with the Med / 45 lab scheduled for the 1st year of the course.
