Program

Care management (entails targeted assessment, prevention interventions, solutions, monitoring, education, support, rehabilitation and discharge plan) of the main problems - issues linked to priority health problems of respiratory function (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease - COPD and bronchial asthma) and cardiovascular (heart failure and ischemic heart disease). In particular, the following problems - topics will be addressed: - Intolerance to physical activity - Acute and chronic hypoxia - Dyspnea - Bronchial obstruction - Therapeutic regimes in people with respiratory problems: assist and educate in the management of inhalation therapy, long-term oxygen therapy (OTLT) and the measurement of Peak Expiratory Flow – PEF. - Liquid imbalance: excess and defect in the volume of liquids and maldistribution of liquids. - Measurement of inputs and outputs – parameters of a standard water balance, meaning of the parameters in relation to other elements that express the balance of liquids and interpretation with respect to various situations. - Measurement and interpretation of central venous pressure (CVP). - Bed rest as a therapeutic prescription Alterations in thermoregulation: hyperpyrexia, hyperthermia, hypothermia and therapeutic hypothermia. Night care, noise and problems that more easily manifest themselves during the night: evidence and peculiarities of night care and sharing through a process of group reflection on the expected care quality standards. Electrocardiography: care principles, methods of execution and first interpretation PART RELATING TO THE SELECTED CLINICAL SITUATIONS The care problems addressed in the clinical medical nursing module and the related management will then be declined into "care and educational" paths for a person with COPD, bronchial asthma, heart failure and ischemic heart disease, in order to bring out and discuss with the students the specifics of the manifestations/signs and symptoms (targeted assessment), the further specific problems and related causes-risk factors and the valid interventions aimed at preventing/resolving and monitor the problem during the stability and instability phases.

Learning assessment procedures

The teaching assessment consists of a written exam consisting of multiple choice and short open answer questions (clinical cases, interpretation, care decisions).
The questions are aimed at appreciating the knowledge and knowledge applied to clinical assistance situations proposed, with a view to integration. Exam procedure and evaluation criteria:
- The exam is organized in Block A (Clinical Nursing, Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases) and Block B (Pneumology, Oncology and Infectious Diseases).
- The student can take both blocks A and B in the same session or choose to take one of the two blocks but CANNOT be taken for single modules.
- If the exam is taken "in blocks", the exam must be completed within 2 successive sessions.

Evaluation criteria

he weight and number of questions is proportionate to the credits. The Commission can propose an oral or written supplement if the level reached is not completely sufficient even in a single module.
