Didactic methods
The professionalizing laboratories anticipate internship experiences in order to enable the student to acquire technical-practical, organizational, relational and problem solving skills (with the use of simulators) in protected contexts through written cases or role-playing with simulated operators. All this also has the aim of reducing the emotional impact of experiencing real situations but also of guaranteeing ethics and safety for patients. Furthermore, the laboratory offers the opportunity for the student to train in applying theoretical principles to clinical practice. The laboratory activity takes place in equipped environments with small groups of students led by an expert tutor or leader and is an essential requirement for the internship activity. Guided exercises, case analysis, role-playing with simulated operators. Plenary presentation of the results of group work (slide construction, content presentation, ability to argue)
Learning assessment procedures
Ongoing monitoring of active participation and collaboration during the proposed activities, reading of group papers by the teacher. A peer evaluation is expected on the level of collaboration in working in a group. Possible compensation for absences and any gaps in individual skills are foreseen
Evaluation criteria
Active participation in the proposed group activities, mastery of the contents during the activities, quality and completeness of the group papers, evaluation of the plenary presentations when scheduled. Evaluations expressed by students on working in teams (peer review) Attendance at the laboratory is mandatory for 100% of the expected number of hours.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
At the end of the course year, the teacher will formulate a rating of "approved" or "not approved" on the exam report, taking into account the student's regular and certified attendance (100%) at the laboratories and the evaluation criteria.
