Learning outcomes

The teaching introduces the student to a global vision of the person’s psychological development in his complexity, factors which interact and the comprehension of a help request’s necessities expressed, considering life development’ steps, skills and required adjustments in the various evolutional stage; it also introduces the student to the fundamental helpful relationship’s precepts, to the techniques and strategies needed for an efficient communication’s management.

Module: PSICOLOGIA CLINICA

In the context of the bio-psycho-social model, the subject of clinical psychology is coping (coping, defense mechanisms) of health impairments and illnesses, as well as the importance of personal and family resources as development factors. Professional support for patients and their relatives is provided.

• Social perception in nurse - patient relationship
• Emotional responses to specific diseases in the acute and chronic phases
• Adaptation processes, coping and defens mechanism of the patient

• Subjective disease theory (lay etiology) and compliance / adherence
• Development-specific adaptation process
• Reactions of the family to the disease
• Support measures for family members
• Death in current societies
• Loss and grief models and the phases of adaptation to loss
