Learning outcomes

Basic knowledge about:
• the psychological adaptation and coping of the patient,
• the reactions of the family to the disease
• Support for patients and their relatives

Program

The subject of clinical psychology, with the theoretical bio-psycho-social model, is the coping (defense mechanisms) of health impairments and illnesses as well as the importance of personal and family resources as developmental factors. knowledge about professional support for patients and their relatives is provided.

• Emotional reactions to specific clinical pictures in the acute and chronic phase
• Adaptation processes, coping with the disease, and defense mechanisms of the patient
