Teaching aims provide the conceptual, methodological and cultural basis to the student needed for:
a) develop together with the patient and his family an educational plan with the aim of developing the skills of the "self- caring "

d) manage the patient's discharge, guaranteeing safety and continuity of caring

01. Introduction to the discipline of therapeutic education. Learning objectives. The area of preventive competence
of the nurse.
02. The patient and his family/ caregivers: inform, instruct and educate. The experiences and the agenda of the
patient.
03. Teaching and learning: educational communication. Adult teaching and learning: the
patient and the preconditions of learning. The therapeutic effect of education. Target group of educational
interventions. Principles of learning. Motivation and learning. Motivation and capacity for concentration /
remember capacity. Factors that influence learning will and factors that influence the ability to learn. Pedagogical
methods that support learning. Transfer in learning.
04. The methodology of therapeutic education with the introduction of a case
Phase 1: knowledge of the patient and his educational needs. Phase 2: the educational diagnosis. Phase
3: definition of objectives, learning and safety contract. Phase 4: selection of contents and choice of teaching
methods. Phase 5: organization of the educational intervention. Suggestions for good teaching. Monitoring and
self-monitoring. Phase 6: assessment of patient learning. Evaluation of process and evaluation of results.
05. Therapeutic education applied in patients with multiple myeloma, undergoing autologous stem cell
transplantation and early and protected discharge . General information on the indication. Specific information
