Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide students with the contents and methods for:
• recognizes stages and standards of the process of prescribing a drug treatment
• safely administer prescribed medications to people assisted in different care settings: hospital, territorial and residential
• identify surveillance and monitoring strategies aimed at the person undergoing diagnostic interventions and therapeutic regimens
• evaluate the progress of care in collaboration with the team, in order to achieve health outcomes or a state of compensation of the patient

Program

Responsibility of the nurse in the therapy process
Pharmacological prescription: verbal or telephone, current and according to protocol
Standards of safe administration of therapy
Replenishment, storage and traceability of drugs
Administration of drugs through commonly used routes:
• Oral drugs: principles and methods of administration
Parenteral drugs:
• Intramuscular route: intramuscular injection sites, technique
• Subcutaneous route: injection sites and principles, technique
• Drugs for other routes: sublingual, respiratory, rectal, cutaneous, ocular
Criteria for defining the schedules of a therapeutic scheme
Adherence to drug therapy
Drug and drug interactions
Fluid therapy:
• Fluids for Hypodermoclysis: subcutaneous infusion of fluids
• Fluids and drugs via e/v:
• Features of the main infusion solutions
• Compatibility between drugs and infusion therapy solutions
• Operational steps for the administration of fluids and drugs
• Devices for peripheral or central venous access
• Infusion sets, flow regulation systems
• Maintenance of access by intravenous infusion with peripheral and central route
• Continuous or intermittent mode of administration

• Complications during infusion therapy: infiltration and chemical and/or infectious phlebitis, bacteremia and infection prevention measures related to peripheral and central venous devices

Venous and arterial sampling for radial artery blood gas analysis, capillary sampling
Collection of samples for blood culture, coproculture, excreta, complete urine test and 24-hour urine collection

Preparation and post-instrumental / diagnostic assistance to the person undergoing colonoscopy and bronchoscopy or examinations that require contrast agents

Personal Assistance in Enteral Nutrition
Administration of drugs via enteral nutrition probe
Crushing and pulverization of drugs in the dysphagic person and with enteral nutrition probe

Carissime Studentesse,

Carissimi Studenti,

di seguito un promemoria relativo alle modalità di erogazione della didattica per il corso di studio A.A. 2021-2022 in Infermieristica (triennale) e Scienze Infermieristiche ed Ostetriche (LM).

Il 29 giugno 2021 il Senato Accademico ed il Consiglio di Amministrazione hanno approvato le Linee guida per l’erogazione della didattica dei corsi di studio A.A. 2021-2022, che prevedono il graduale ritorno all’erogazione della didattica in presenza (previa verifica GREEN PASS) affiancato da organizzazione logistica, modalità̀, metodologie e tecnologie didattiche già̀ adottate dallo scorso anno.

In considerazione della peculiarità del corso professionalizzante, che prevede la presenza obbligatoria sia per le lezioni frontali che numerosi laboratori pratici in presenza, si ricorda che non sarà possibile ottenere la frequenza richiesta solamente con la frequenza streaming o tramite lezioni registrate. La gestione delle presenze in aula/streaming verrà quindi garantita dai coordinatori, in un piano di presenze che dovrà essere seguito dallo studente.

Nei giorni in cui i coordinatori proporranno allo studente la frequenza in streaming si sottolinea l’importanza di avere il video acceso ed una postura ed un abbigliamento consono alla lezione universitaria. In mancanza di questi elementi, la frequenza non verrà conteggiata.  La registrazione della lezione non potrà considerarsi come sostitutiva ma come elemento di supporto didattico. Non varrà quindi come frequenza.

Sperando che, anche grazie all’importantissima campagna vaccinale in corso, si possa tornare quanto prima ad una situazione pre-COVID-19, vi auguro buon lavoro!
