Introduction to the study of human anatomy. The general structure of the organism and anatomical terminology Topographic anatomy: general organization of the human body The skeleton and joints: general structure of the skeleton. Types of bones. Classification of joints. The skull, general structure: neurocranium and splanchnocranium. Description of the individual cranial bones. Spine and rib cage. Pelvis. Shoulder girdle and bones of the upper limb. Pelvic girdle and bones of the lower limb. Muscular system: head and neck muscles; trunk muscles, diaphragm; pelvic floor; limb muscles. Cardio-circulatory system: general information; Heart; arteries; microcirculation; veins; pulmonary circulation; systemic circulation; arteries and veins of the general circulation; elements of fetal circulation. The blood. Respiratory system: external nose and nasal passages; larynx; trachea; bronchial tree; lungs; pleurae. Urinary system: general information; kidney; renal pelvis; ureter; bladder; male urethra and prostate; female urethra. Juxta glomerular apparatus. Endocrine system: topography, structure and function of the main endocrine glands. Hypothalamic-pituitary axis control system, notes on the thyroid, gh. adrenal and parathyroid glands, detail of male gonads (testis) and female gonads (ovary). Female genital system: ovary; uterine tubes; uterus; vagina; external genitalia; placenta. Male genital system: general information; testicle; spermatic ducts; external genitalia.

Learning assessment procedures
The exam will take place orally and in person, with the teachers of the three integrated courses (Histology, Human Anatomy and Human Physiology); at the end of the interview the teachers will provide a final evaluation weighted with respect to the credits of the three courses. Each teaching must be sufficient for the final evaluation.
Evaluation criteria
The ability to understand and memorize the subjects of the individual modules, the specialist technical language as well as an overall and detailed view of the topics in the program will be assessed.
