> NEWBORN
BIRTH
-Normative references of the midwife in the care of the physiological newborn (DL 2007, DM 740/94, Code of Ethics)
-Definition of the newborn and criteria to define the physiological newborn
-Apgar index: definition, how to perform, interpretation, limits
-Skin-to-skin contact (obstetric care)
-Metabolic adaptation, immune adaptation, thermoregulation
-Cord blood sampling: technique and interpretation
-Identification of the newborn
-Surveillance and assistance to the newborn in the first two hours of life
CARE CARE
-Antorpometric measurements (cranial circ., length, weight)
-Neonatal prophylaxis (ocular with antibiotic eye drops, antihemorrhagic with vitamin K)
-Hygienic care of the newborn (bath, umbilical cord dressing)
ASSISTANCE DURING THE FIRST DAYS OF LIFE
-physiological vital signs of newborns(physiological decline, meconium emission, urine emission, physiological jaundice, sleep-wake rhythm, stump fall)
