Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

1. Describe the host facility, itsprofessional figures, the services offered and the organization of the Service:
A) Orienting students to a host facility
B) Recognize the roles and competences of different professional figures
C) Know the organization of the Service and the type of user
2. Apply environmental and personal hygiene standards for the prevention and protection of the patients' and professionals' health:
A) Proper hands washing
B) Identify and use the main Personal Protection Devices (PPE)
C) Handle clean and dirty material properly to avoid contamination
3. Use Patient Data Collection Information Tools:
A) Recognize reference figures from which to collect patient information
B) Identify the information tools available in the Service
C) Collect the patient's anamnestic and clinical data
4. Demonstrate patient observation skills:
A) Analyze the position of the anatomical districts according to the planes and reference axes
B) Analyze patients' postures and motor skills
C) Describe apatient's postures and motor skills by using appropriate terminology
5. Perform a basic assessment:

A) Perform the postural alignment of the patient in the various decubitus
B) Help Position and / or facilitate the patient in postural changes, in transfers

8. Carry out segmental mobilization (II SEMESTER):

Program
At the end of the Lectures, Tutorial Sessions, Exercises / Simulations and Professional Laboratory of the 1st semester, the student will practice a 4 week practical experience in residential or retirement facilities with older patients.
At the end of the Lectures, Tutorial Sessions, Exercises / Simulations and Professional Laboratory of the 2nd semester, the student will practice a 6 week practical experience in hospital, outpatient or residential facilities with adult or elderly patients with muscolar Skeletal problems .

Examination Methods
The achievement of the skills required to attend to the next year is evaluated by a Commission composed of a Coordinator and at least two teachers (MED / 48) and is divided into a written test and a practical test.
The written test will assess the student's ability to identify structural and functional impairments, limitations of activity and participation restrictions in relation to environmental and personal factors (ICF) in a patient (clinical case study).
In the practical test, with a simulated patient, the student will have to demonstrate that he has acquired the technical and relational skills:
