Program

1) Epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases
2) Notes on the pathophysiology of atherosclerosis
3) Peripheral arterial disease of the lower limbs and carotids: clinical, diagnostic, complications and hints of therapy
4) Diabetic foot: epidemiology, clinical, diagnostic, complications and hints of therapy
5) Chronic venous insufficiency: epidemiology, clinical and diagnostic aspects, complications and hints of therapy 6) Deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism
7) Pressure ulcers: epidemiological aspects, predisposing causes, identification of the different stages and treatment.

Learning assessment procedures

The exam will focus on the topics covered in class and listed in the course program.
The assignment of Vascular Diseases consists of a written test with 15 multiple or single choice questions.
The evaluation criteria are the following: 2 points for correct answers; 1 point for partially correct answers; 0 points for missing/wrong answers.
The exam is considered valid when the student achieves a minimal overall grade of 18 points.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

The evaluation criteria are as follows: 2 points for correct answers; 1 point for partially correct answers; 0 points for wrong/absent answers.
The exam is passed if the student reaches a minimum grade of 18.
