Learning outcomes

1) To know
- the main clinical pictures that can occur in musculoskeletal disorders
- the aspects that contribute to the genesis and persistence of musculoskeletal pain
2) To be able to carry out an evaluation of the patient focused on
- recognition of the main red flags
- recognition of possible structural impairments of the musculoskeletal system
- basic examination of the peripheral joints
- evaluation of psycho-social factors
- evaluation of other prognostic factors (comorbidities, lifestyle ...)
with the aim of making a functional diagnosis and a prognosis consistent with the clinical picture of the patient
3) Being able to manage the patient from a bio-psycho-social perspective, proposing a treatment that
- take into consideration whether the patient is of physiotherapy competence and / or the collaboration with other professional figures
- take into consideration any cautions and / or contraindications
- provide patient education aimed at improving their compliance with the treatment and their self-efficacy
- is based on therapeutic exercises calibrated on the characteristics of the patient

Examination Methods

AIMS:
- underestimate theoretical knowledge (30% c.a.)
- evaluation of practical knowledge of therapeutic evaluation and management (70%)
CONTENTS
- the entire content of the course will be subject to examination
- particular emphasis will be placed on physiotherapy management aspects (what questions to ask that patient and why, how to calibrate the physical examination based on the anamnestic information obtained, when to refer to other operators, which therapeutic intervention to propose and with what dosage)
