The programme

This section provides a comprehensive overview of the degree programme, including details on its structure, regulations, and additional resources. It also introduces the University’s Quality Assurance system and outlines the Student Orientation services available to prospective students, aimed at guiding them in selecting the most suitable course.

Quality Assurance

The quality of a degree programme is the extent to which it achieves its educational objectives and meets the quality requirements of the educational activities offered, which are determined in line with the needs and expectations of students and representatives of the world of work.

This programme has adopted a teaching Quality Assurance system in line with the University’s quality assurance guidelines and based on the e ANVUR national quality assurance guidelines, by carrying out the following activities:
  • periodic consultations with representatives of the world of work to assess the adequacy of the cultural and professional profiles offered in their courses;
  • design of educational contents and planning of resources;
  • organisation of educational activities and teaching services;
  • monitoring the effectiveness of teaching and planning measures to improve teaching and services;
  • provision of complete and up-to-date information on its website, relating to the programme (professional roles, expected learning outcomes, learning activities).
The above activities are scheduled and interrelated, based on the PDCA principles (Plan, Do, Check, Act).

In a Quality Assurance system, students play a fundamental role: each student can play their part by participating in the Quality Assurance groups of their degree programme and in the Faculty-Student Joint Committees or, more simply, by taking part in the Student Survey on teaching, or questionnaires. It’s in this context that specific workshops for student representatives (‘Laboratori di rappresentanza attiva’) are periodically made available to students by the University and the University’s Quality Assurance Board. QA bodies

The Group – which deals with the annual monitoring and review of the Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Cultures for tourism and international commerce – is made up of the Degree Programme Director, and the programme’s lecturers and students.

Faculty-Student Joint Committee (CPDS)

  • carries out monitoring activities in relation to teaching activities, provides opinions on the establishment and cancellation of degree programmes;
  • provides opinions on the consistency between the educational activities offered and the university credits (CFU) awarded;
  • annually draws up a report on the results of its monitoring activities.

Through Student Surveys and questionnaires, students can express their views on the modules offered as part of this programme.

Degree programme annual fact sheet

As part of the Quality Assurance system, complete, updated and easily available information on objectives, study plan, resources used and results achieved for each degree programme is made available through the SUA-CdS - Scheda Unica Annuale del Corso di Studio (Degree programme annual fact sheet). This includes an Overview and three public sections (Learning Objectives, Student Experience, Learning Outcomes) which together provide a wide range of information about each degree programme.

Module descriptions

For each module or educational activity, a web module description must be in place, in order to provide students with all the information they need: learning objectives, syllabus, examination methods, learning tools. This description must be made available to students at the beginning of the academic year, and all the information contained therein must be up-to-date and consistent with the content of the module.

Programme monitoring and review

The quality of the degree programme is constantly monitored based on the guidelines issued by the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research Systems (ANVUR): annually through the Annual Monitoring fact sheet and periodically through an overall review.
