Learning outcomes

- to understand the physical/mathematical elements of the CT technique
- to know the reconstruction and visualisation techniques of the CT images
- to understand the image quality in CT and his relationship with the operational parameters of the CT examination

- elements of interaction of X-ray with matter
- fundamentals of CT operation
- image reconstruction techniques
- image visualisation in CT
- image reconstruction in volumetric CT
- images produced in CT (MPR, MIP, 3D rendering...)
- dosimetric units
- patient and operator radiation protection in CT
- image quality in CT (noise, spatial resolution) and his relationship with the operational parameters of the CT examination
