Learning outcomes

During the course will be provided basic knowledge to understand the dynamics of Macroscopic Magnetization (MM) and the genesis of the signal during the application of radio-frequency pulses and gradients. We will analyze the path that produces the signal composed to the creation of a raw data in its real and imaginary forms, the filling and the structure of the relative matrices and their reconstruction with the Fourier transform. With the acquired knowledge, the main K-space filling trajectories, the basic time diagrams of the pulse sequences and the scanning parameters necessary to understand the main sequences implemented on the RM machines will be described. Subsequently, the advanced applications and technological innovations implemented on the most modern RM machines will be described.
At the end of the course the learners must be able to define and describe:
- Pulse sequences implemented on the main RM scanners currently on the market.
- The main technological innovations related to K-space filling techniques, saturation techniques and image acquisition techniques.

The final aim of the course is to create the basic knowledge on RM imaging technologies, giving the tools to understand and interpret the technical applications of an pulse sequence and the K-space associated with it.

Examination Methods

The final Test is written.
- 50 questions with multiple choices
- 5 answers for each question
- Correct answer =1
- Wrong answer or not given answer = 0
- To pass the exam the minimum number of right answer is 30
- The QUIZ will be projected or uploaded on a specific web platform (30 seconds for each question)

If the TEST is exceeded, a short oral examination will be done, to verify the understanding and logic of various concepts.

La frequenza in aula delle lezioni è obbligatoria ed è prevista per tutti e tre gli anni di corso.
Le lezioni si svolgeranno in sicurezza, la capienza delle aule è  limitata al 50% dei posti disponibili 
 
Per gli studenti l’accesso in aula richiederà obbligatoriamente la preventiva prenotazione del posto tramite l’App UNIVR Lezioni.
er consentire a tutta la comunità studentesca di frequentare le attività didattiche in presenza, potrà essere utilizzato il principio di turnazione ovvero l’alternanza tra la possibilità di frequentare in presenza. Verrà data priorità di accesso all’aula alle studentesse e agli studenti con esigenze specifiche di apprendimento e alle studentesse e agli studenti internazionali che lo richiederanno
 
Il Collegio Didattico ha recentemente deliberato che le lezioni siano erogate in presenza a metà studenti e l’altra metà in diretta streaming per tutti e tre gli anni di corso, attraverso l’utilizzo della piattaforma Zoom e che essendo  la frequenza prevista dal regolamento obbligatoria ( 75% per l'insegnamento e 50% del modulo), pena l'esclusione all’esame. Quest‘ultima è considerarata valida se lo studente è presente in aula e/o in collegamento in diretta streaming.

IMPORTANTE: PER POTER SEGUIRE LE LEZIONI IN STREAMING, I POSTI A SEDERE IN AULA, DOVRANNO RISULTARE TUTTI OCCUPATI

Lo studente è obbligato a mantenere accesa la telecamera mentre il microfono può essere spento.

Permane l’obbligo da parte del docente della registrazione la cui visione non vale come certificazione di presenza.
 
IMPORTANTE: l'aula assegnata al 1 anno di corso è l'aula E degli Istituti Biologici nelle adiacenze del Policlinico G.B. Rossi di Verona, la quale ha una capienza pari a 20 posti in presenza.
E‘ obbligatorio che il n. di studenti  prenotati per queste aule siano gli stessi numeri/persone per:
