Learning outcomes

The course provides students with knowledge, understanding and skills related to the role of occupational medicine in prevention, protection, promotion and management of workplace health and safety with a particular focus on chemical risk and industrial toxicology .
The student will acquire, also through examples taken from the field, knowledge and understanding on the principles of occupational medicine, risk assessment, health surveillance, fitness for job, specific legislation, health education, primary, secondary and tertiary prevention. with reference to the role of ergonomic and psychosocial risk factors in a multidisciplinary perspective. Furthermore, the main issues of Industrial Toxicology will be framed.
