Learning objectives
The course aims to deepen the knowledge acquired in the first year on the protection and promotion and management of health and safety in the workplace with a focus on pathogenesis and prevention of occupational diseases.
Program
1) General principles of Occupational Medicine and prevention in the workplace.
2) Figures and structures for the protection of health and safety at work.
3) Specific legislation on occupational disease prevention and insurance protection
4) Work-related diseases and illnesses: aetiopathogenesis and prevention principles
5) Diseases from exposure to physical risk
6) Illnesses from exposure to chemical risk
7) Illnesses from exposure to organisational risk
8) Diseases from exposure to ergonomic risk

Learning assessment procedures
Questionnaire comprising 10 multiple-choice questions and 5 open-ended questions
Evaluation criteria
Each correct multiple-choice question is awarded 1 point (maximum score obtainable 10).
Each open-ended question is awarded a point from 0 to 4: 0 no answer or completely wrong answer, 1 insufficient answer, 2 sufficient answer but with inaccuracies or not exhaustive, 3 correct answer, 4 correct and exhaustive answer. The score also includes half a point).
The minimum total score of the questionnaire to pass the module is 18.
