• Introduction to exercise physiology: concept of homeostasis, interpretation of graphs, concept of threshold and sensitivity / gain, concept of steady state
• Acute cardiovascular responses to different types of exercise
• Adaptive cardiovascular responses to different types of exercise
• Characterization of ventilatory response, integrated ventilation control
• Integrated pH control; Bicarbonate

Frontal lessons. Didactic materials (pdf slides, in-depth materials) will be made available to the student.
In compliance with the University teaching regulations and the evolution of the pandemic situation, short contents (presentations and videos, or any recorded lessons) may be made available.
Learning assessment procedures
The Biomedical Exercise Control exam will consist of a written test with 40 multiple choice quizzes with 5 answers.
In particular, the quizzes will be divided as follows:
- 20 PHYSIOLOGY
- 20 ENDOCRINOLOGY
- 10 Traumatology
- 10 Sports Medicine
Evaluation criteria
To pass the exam, a minimum grade of 15/30 is required for each subject of the integrated course.
The final grade will result from the weighted average of the grades of the subjects of the integrated course.
