Learning outcomes

The course allows to acquire the main techniques used to analyze and improve the performance and its determinants through laboratory and field tools. It permits to know, to plan and apply training models in different situations, including relationship to single and multidisciplinary disciplines.
It allows the preparation and interpretation of descriptive reports about performance characteristics of athletes

Program

The course is developed through frontal lessons, elaboration activities and practical lessons, enabling to acquire skills and knowledge in the following topics:

Basics of Prescriptions
Planning and Management of the Different Training Phases
Aerobic training
Programming and monitoring in the specific sports
Programming and monitoring in multidisciplinary sports
Managing of acute pressure variations in sport
Evaluation and training of vasomotor control
Training to the different strength components
Remote ischemic pre-conditioning effects
Overtraining, monitoring and prevention
Evaluation and monitoring of heart rate in the frequency domain - HRv

Examination Methods

The exam consists of two separate phases:
- written (open and closed answers) -due to verify the students' basic knowledge and the ability to express themselves through graphic and mathematical models
- oral - description of evaluation models, design and discussion of training programs
