Learning objectives
The module intends to put attending students in a position to date, read, interpret and examine the main forms of manuscript testimonies in the Latin alphabet (libraries, documentaries, epigraphs) of the classical age, the late antique and the early Middle Ages. The course aims to give knowledge about a specific kind of archives and documents in relation to the context in which they were produced, to the bureaucratic order and to the relevant legislation.
