The course will be held in the computer laboratory

1. History on line. Practical Steps in Evaluating Internet Resources
2. Looking for Bibliographical Sources in the internet: online catalogs (OPAC)
3. Looking for articles in review: how? where?
4. Primary Sources. From electronic catalogs to digital sources
4. A free online slavery database
5. Zotero, that is: a software to organize and to share your research
6. Cloud file sharing and storage; doing history and team-work
7. About copy-right
8. Transkribus: the platform able to read manuscripts
9. Steps to building a website
9. A fully digital search– final written report

Attending and Non attending students will be asked also to write a report/paper about a search path based on digital tools, focusing on an historical subject selected by the professor

The exam is oral and computer based
