Learning objectives
The course aims to reconstruct the fundamental lines of the contemporary history of Islamic countries, with particular reference to the so-called enlarged Middle East, focusing the analysis on the development of forms of statehood and on the evolution of political institutions. The aim is to provide an articulated and complex image of the dynamics that run through contemporary Middle Eastern states, also in relation to international geopolitics.
