Program

The cours is in French and it is divised into three parts:

a. elements of ecdotic;

b. elements of “critique génétique”.
We wish to offer an idea of the methodology in order to do a critical edition of a text. The part of the “critique génétique” intends to study the manuscripts of modern and contemporaries authors in order to understand how the author create the work.

c. The poetic of Jean Renart.
Jean Renart is one of the most interesting French trouvères. It is the author of three texts: two novels and a lai who present narrative strategies uncommon for the period.

A part of this point c (2CFU) will be thought by professor Sylvie Lefèvre visiting scholar from the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne.
