Learning objectives

The goal of the course is to develop a pedagogical knowledge about planning, negotiating day to day classroom activity, motivating students and evaluating educational practices for children in pre-primary school and primary school. These aspects are necessary for every teacher because the need to develop a knowledge that are based on the characteristics of the context in which he/she works and to plan educational practices that promote good development processes.

Program

The School programs (edited by the Minister of education in 2007 and renewed in 2012) design a vision of the learner as a complex being, whose multiple dimensions are to be cultivated at school. These “educative directions” are proposed as: “cognitive, emotional, relational, bodily, aesthetical, ethical, religious”. In order to train preservice teachers to this vision, it is necessary to cultivate a reflective and heuristic competence.
The course will offer students cultural elements that make them able to carry out a hermeneutics of educative practices at school. The starting point is a vision of education as care (of the self, of the others, of the institutions and of the world).

Learning assessment procedures

Evaluation will be realized through a written test (open questions) concerning the texts studied.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

The texts will be evaluated taking into consideration the correctness of contents, the capacity to communicate in an efficient way and the quality of written composition.

Criteria for the composition of the final grade

Every answer will be evaluated singularly.
The sum of every result will compose the final evaluation (x/30).
