• understand the meaning, relevance and necessity of screening and assessment instruments for their clinical practice
• name the process of developing, translating, adapting and evaluating screening and assessment instruments
• critically assess screening and assessment instruments in view of their validity and reliability
• apply the evidence based on validity and reliability for selecting a screening or assessment instrument for their clinical practice
• discuss the further refinement and evaluation of the selected instrument with the overall goal to improve the quality of care
