Features and aims
The Master's degree course in Management and Business Strategy aims to provide graduates with advanced training in the field of management that will enable them to enter the world of work in the position of assistant manager or business consultant, laying the foundations for the gradual development towards professional roles of higher management value.
The training path is intensely focused on the disciplines of the business area, but it also provides the necessary skills in economics, statistics, and law. In particular, the business area includes accountability, accounting, management, marketing and organisation. Particular attention is also paid to the sustainable approach of corporate governance. The interdisciplinary nature of the BSc in Management and Business Strategy enables the graduate to gain in-depth knowledge of the specific features and dynamics of management in the various business areas within the national and international context.
From a structural point of view, the courses in the business field are alternated in pairs to enable the student to obtain a flexible and polyvalent education.
Teaching is characterised by an active and, in some cases, innovative approach, flanking lectures with participatory teaching strategies such as cooperative learning, discussion of case studies, flipped classrooms, computer-aided laboratories, simulations of decision-making problems at the company level, testimonials from managers, entrepreneurs and business consultants, and company visits.
Students can experience the dynamics and problems of a company of their choice, carrying out a compulsory internship period in companies or organisations with a view to future professional activity. In agreement with the academic and company tutor, the student who wishes to extend the internship period in the company can transform the credits of the optional activities into an internship.
The student's knowledge of English is enhanced through linguistic activities (level B2), as well as through some lectures attended as privileged witnesses by international lecturers, visiting lecturers from the Departments to which the Master's degree course relates and by some extracurricular activities, as well as by the use of teaching tools in English that enable students to compare themselves with the best literature in the sector at an international level.
Students have the opportunity to carry out study experiences and internships abroad thanks to international mobility programmes, including Erasmus+ and Worldwide.
The course ends with the preparation of a thesis, during which the student is required to apply and develop the acquired skills in both theoretical and practical terms.
The course promotes the acquisition of soft skills aimed at the complete training of the student and usable for the subsequent pathway to employment, recognising an adequate number of university credits to students who follow with profit the courses specifically offered by the University or other institutions.
Working areas
The knowledge, logic, methods, tools and techniques learnt during the training course are functional for a managerial career in industrial and service companies, public and private organisations, research centres and consultancy firms at national and international levels.

Governing bodies
Quality Assurance
The quality of a degree programme is the extent to which it achieves its educational objectives and meets the quality requirements of the educational activities offered, which are determined in line with the needs and expectations of students and representatives of the world of work.
- periodic consultations with representatives of the world of work to assess the adequacy of the cultural and professional profiles offered in their courses;
- design of educational contents and planning of resources;
- organisation of educational activities and teaching services;
- monitoring the effectiveness of teaching and planning measures to improve teaching and services;
- provision of complete and up-to-date information on its website, relating to the programme (professional roles, expected learning outcomes, learning activities).
In a Quality Assurance system, students play a fundamental role: each student can play their part by participating in the Quality Assurance groups of their degree programme and in the Faculty-Student Joint Committees or, more simply, by taking part in the Student Survey on teaching, or questionnaires. It’s in this context that specific workshops for student representatives (‘Laboratori di rappresentanza attiva’) are periodically made available to students by the University and the University’s Quality Assurance Board. Other useful things
Crediti Formativi Universitari (CFU/ECTS credits): Italian university courses are based on the CFU system. 1 CFU is equal to 25 hours of study. The average annual academic workload for a full-time student is generally assumed to be 60 CFU. CFU and ECTS credits serve the same purpose and generally have the same value.Degree class: Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes that have the same learning objectives and activities are grouped into “degree classes". The educational content of each programme is set autonomously by each university; however, universities are required to include certain educational activities (and the corresponding number of CFU credits) set at the national level. These requirements are established in relation to each degree class. Degrees in the same class have the same legal value.
Double/Joint degrees: the Italian universities may establish degree programmes in partnership with other Italian or foreign universities. Upon completion of these courses, graduates are awarded a joint or double/multiple degree, one from each Partner University.
