Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student must prove to 1) have acquired the general principles of Russian morphology; 2) be able to apply them to the comprehension of simple written and oral texts; 3) possess language skills of B2 level according to the CEFR definition.
Program
The course aims to provide basic notions on the phonetics and morphology of Russian Language and in particular: declination of nouns, adjectives, personal and demonstrative pronouns, use of cases, verbal system (conjugation, time, aspect), verbs of motion without prefixation.
Teaching method: frontal lectures that will also involvegrammar exercises and reading, translation and analysis of short texts.

Cevese C., Dobrovolskaja Ju., Magnanini E. Grammatica russa. Morfologia: teoria ed esercizi, Hoepli, 2000 o 2007 (just the parts the teacher requires).
Students have to register at the e-learning page of the course where extra materials will be uploaded.

Examination Methods
Written and oral examination
This exam cannot be taken before passing the B1 certification
The oral examination can be taken only after passing the written one. It will include the following:
- checking the mistakes in the written test
- explaning a grammar topic
- reading and translating a short text
- analysing of the grammar in the text
- having a short conversation in Russian.
