Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

TAF (Type of Educational Activity) All courses and activities are classified into different types of educational activities, indicated by a letter.
Type D and Type F activities
Nei piani didattici di ciascun Corso di studio è previsto l’obbligo di conseguire un certo numero di crediti formativi mediante attività a scelta (chiamate anche "di tipologia D e F").
Oltre che in insegnamenti previsti nei piani didattici di altri corsi di studio e in certificazioni linguistiche o informatiche secondo quanto specificato nei regolamenti di ciascun corso, tali attività possono consistere anche in iniziative extracurriculari di contenuto vario, quali ad esempio la partecipazione a un seminario o a un ciclo di seminari, la frequenza di laboratori didattici, lo svolgimento di project work, stage aggiuntivo, eccetera.
Come per ogni altra attività a scelta, è necessario che anche queste non costituiscano un duplicato di conoscenze e competenze già acquisite dallo studente.
Quelle elencate in questa pagina sono le iniziative extracurriculari che sono state approvate dalla Commissione didattica e quindi consentono a chi vi partecipa l'acquisizione dei CFU specificati, alle condizioni riportate nelle pagine di dettaglio di ciascuna iniziativa.
Si ricorda in proposito che:
- tutte queste iniziative richiedono, per l'acquisizione dei relativi CFU, il superamento di una prova di verifica delle competenze acquisite, secondo le indicazioni contenute nella sezione "Modalità d'esame" della singola attività;
- lo studente è tenuto a inserire nel proprio piano degli studi l'attività prescelta e a iscriversi all'appello appositamente creato per la verbalizzazione, la cui data viene stabilita dal docente di riferimento e pubblicata nella sezione "Modalità d'esame" della singola attività.

Il Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) è un percorso esperienziale con moduli dedicati all'innovazione e alla cultura d'impresa che offre la possibilità di lavorare in team con studenti e studentesse di tutti i corsi di studio per risolvere sfide lanciate da aziende ed enti. ATTENZIONE: Per essere ammessi a sostenere una qualsiasi attività didattica, incluse quelle a scelta, è necessario essere iscritti all'anno di corso in cui essa viene offerta. Si raccomanda, pertanto, ai laureandi delle sessioni di dicembre e aprile di NON svolgere attività extracurriculari del nuovo anno accademico, cui loro non risultano iscritti, essendo tali sessioni di laurea con validità riferita all'anno accademico precedente. Quindi, per attività svolte in un anno accademico cui non si è iscritti, non si potrà dar luogo a riconoscimento di CFU.

Learning objectives
The training proposal concerns the activation of an educational module in English for 2 credits, 12 hours of lessons, aimed at students of the CdLM in Economics and Data Analysis and aimed at understanding the Business Plan. The initiative replicates similar projects activated in the academic years from 2015-16 to 2022-23. The module will be delivered in streaming mode for the interventions of the foreign teacher.

Program
In the module, after having outlined the purposes, recipients, as well as the main contents of the business plan, we will proceed with the drafting of a sample business plan, as well as the evaluation of its economic-financial sustainability in the considered plan horizon. The module will ideally be linked to the International Business and Management teaching of the CdLM in Economics and Data Analysis. The teaching in English will be held by: Prof. Paolo Roffia (4 hours) Department of Business Administration, University of Verona and Dr. Seamus Kelly (8 hours) University College Dublin, IRELAND. Duration of the course: The course consists of a total of 12 hours of lessons equivalent to 2 credits divided between the two teachers. Period of implementation: November 2023 - December 2023.

Didactic methods
The course topics will be discussed in frontal lessons Via ZOOM (according to the lesson calendar). It is possible that some guest teachers present cases or topics related to internationalization and global business. Students (attending and not) will find supplementary materials in a course FOLDER on the MYUNIVR platform. In MYUNIVR platform students will find: a) the analytical program, the lesson slides, b) slides and supplementary materials, c) the text of the mandatory project work; d) the timetable of the module which will take place between October and December. On an experimental basis, the VIDEOS of the lessons will be available in the PAGES. The teacher is available for Q&A: 1. at the end of the lesson; 2. during student office hours (see the institutional page).
Learning assessment procedures
The language of the exam is ENGLISH. ONLINE registration for the exam is required 3 days before the exam date. Without registration it is not possible to take the exam. The first exam dates will be in January/February. The exam will be via MOODLE in presence in a university classroom equipped with a PC (except for exceptions) and will be accessed with the student credentials from the portal http://esamionline.univr.it. Please note that graduating students in December 2023 and April 2024 they cannot participate and request the accreditation of credits for this activity, as it is a 2023/2024 provision, while the degree sessions refer to the academic year. 2022/2023. Students regularly enrolled in the academic year 2023/2024 are required to include the activity in the booklet. Recognition of type D training credits (CFU): The training activity requires a commitment corresponding to 2 CFU. The recognition of credits is subject to attendance of at least 75% of the lessons and passing a final test consisting of the drafting of a business plan.
Evaluation criteria
The exam aims to verify: a. the student's preparation on the program topics and b. the ability to apply models and solutions in a real context. The preparation of 2 project works is required (preferably in groups of 3 students) which must be sent via MOODLE 7 days before the exam. To take the MOODLE exam, you must register 4 days before the exam date from your student profile (check actual registration). ERASMUS students are invited to contact the teacher before the start of the course
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The module is only for students ATTENDING 75% of the lessons. the exam consists of a project work that focuses on the identification of a business idea and the preparation of a simulated Business Plan. The evaluation will be PASS/FAIL only. the business plan and can accommodate a maximum of 20 students.

Methods of teaching delivery
All lectures as well as all the exams are held in person. In particular, we highlight the importance of taking part in classroom activities in order to benefit from interaction with colleagues and instructors and participating in project works, presentations and group works that could be organized by the different courses.
Furthermore, as a further service to students, the lessons will be video-recorded and made available on the relevant e-learning platform of the courses unless otherwise communicated by the individual lecturers who will also define the methods and times for activating this service. However, it is underlined that the recordings do not represent a substitute for the lectures and activities carried out in the classroom.

Internships
The curriculum of the three-year degree courses (CdL) and master's degree courses (CdLM) in the economics area includes an internship as a compulsory training activity. Indeed, the internship is considered an appropriate tool for acquiring professional skills and abilities and for facilitating the choice of a future professional outlet that aligns with one's expectations, aptitudes, and aspirations. The student can acquire further competencies and interpersonal skills through practical experience in a work environment.
