The aim of this course is to provide an introduction to the basic theoretical concepts and research tools for the study of human interactions in social contexts.

Course content: The first part will be concerned with the classical topics and the recent developments of Social Psychology, in a theoretical and empirical perspective. A special attention will be focused on issues related to social identity (local, regional, national), and on the dynamics of cross-cultural communication.

Teaching methods: Class lectures.

Course content: The second part will then analyze the psychological processes of persuasion, the topic of fashion as medium of social influence, and the socio-psychological issues related to the new communication technologies.
