Learning outcomes
The course aims at examining and discussing some of the major issues concerning political philosophy.
Program
Prerequisites: undergraduate level knowledge in philosophy.
Syllabus:
“Islands: From Plato to Lost”. By focussing on the topic of ‘the island’ within the history of political utopia, the course analyses its various representations in philosophy (Plato, Moore), literature (Defoe, Swift), film and TV ( Lost).
