Learning outcomes
The course aims at (1) a seminal discussion of the main arguments with reference to original texts (2) the individuation of their philosophic-historical sources, (3) the reconstruction of its immediate and (4) long term impact
Program
Aristotle in the Twentieth Century. Aim of the course is to provide a twentieth-century look to a number of Aristotelian issues highlighted by Enrico Berti as regards logic, metaphysics, theology, physics, psycology, genetic, ecology, the connection of nature and cognition as well as the most recent discussions of the Ethics and the Politics.
Examination Methods
the final exam will consist of an oral discussion of the required text and of an optional text, a written exam for the students that will have attended the course, a term paper is required.
