Learning outcomes

To develop a critical a conscious attitude towards the mathematical notions. To give meaning to the fundamental mathematical notions, analyzing which problems they are meant to face.

Program

Difficulties in stating the mathematical notions. Sets. Relations and functions. Natural numbers and induction. Integer and rational numbers. Infinite sets. Real numbers. Ordinals and cardinals. Structures and language. The notion of a computational system.

Examination Methods

Open questions written test, and possible oral integration.
