Period

Sem. 1A dal Oct 3, 2011 al Nov 13, 2011.

Learning outcomes

The course in general aims to show the value of a philosophical approach to the educational practice and to the pedagogic reflection it requires. The educator does not need only a technical, psychological and social training, he/she must also increase his capacity of thinking about the meaning of education and its values. Starting from this general aim, three are the formative cognitive objects.
The first formative object refers to the general part of the course, that is to the complex relation between education and philosophy: at the end of the course the student will be able to distinguish the reasons that justify that relation.
The second formative object refers to the “monographic” part of the course: at the end of it the student will have examined carefully some of the fundamental pedagogical themes, that require philosophical reflections to be properly understood.
The third formative object refers to the “personal thorough study” of the course contents: at the end of it the student will be able to understand why a problem that may seem only philosophical (like the ethic problem) becomes an educational task when it is intensely lived.
