Module: FARMACOLOGIA CLINICA

Describe the mechanism of action, the therapeutic use, the main adverse reactions, the contraindications, the warmings and the more used drugs of the following pharmacological classes:
1. Cardiovascular drugs: digitalic agents, antiarrhythmic drugs, coronary and peripheral vasodilators (nitrates), antihypertensive drugs (angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, angiotensin receptor antagonists, Ca-antagonists, beta-blockers, diuretics), hypocholesterolemic and triglyceride lowering agents (statins, biological products, fibrates, nicotinic acid)
2. Antithrombotic agents: antiplatelet drugs (aspirin, clopidogrel, pasugrel, ticagrelor, ticlopidine, etc.), anticoagulants (standard and low molecular weight heparins, warfarin and direct oral anticoagulants) thrombolytic drugs
3. Central Nervous System drugs: hypnotics/anxiolytics (benzodiazepines and Z-drugs), antipsychotics, antidepressants and mood-stabilizing drugs, anticonvulsants, antiparkinsonian drugs, opioids
4. Respiratory drugs: bronchodilators (LABA e SABA), anti-inflammatory drugs (corticosteroids), expectorants, mucolytics, decongestants, cough suppressants
5. Gastrointestinal drugs: drugs used to treat peptic ulcer and gastroesophageal reflux, drugs used to alter GI motility (e.g. antidiarrheal drugs, antiemetics, prokinetics, cathartics)

Examination Methods
Module: FARMACOLOGIA CLINICA
-------
Written test. The script consists of a total of 80 questions relating to all teaching modules of the integrated course. The Clinical Pharmacology questions (n= 25) are with multiple choice answers (1 correct between 5). The questions are related to the course program. Each correct answer is worth one point, the test is passed if you reach the minimum overall score of 47 points with a score of at least 14 for Clinical Pharmacology and for Nursing and 8 for the other two modules.
