Learning outcomes
Through a philological and historical-comparative analysis of the original sources in Italian translation ( Bible, Divine Comedy, some liturgical texts and Holy Scriptures of different religions ),
our purpose will be the historical-religious reconnaissance of mythical word that expresses places of supreme beatitude. From ancient myths of golden Age, of isle of the Blessed, of Eden’s garden, we too shall describe paradise’s type of artwork, until its meaning of metaphor in poetical and rhetorical language.

N.B. Only those who have followed and completed the undergraduate course can apply to this course.
Course content:
The Paradise : history and metaphor of an eschatological myth.

Examination Methods
Oral test. The participation in the seminars of each individual student will also be taken into consideration.
