Learning outcomes
Fornire conoscenze di base riguardanti la farmacologia, patologia generale, microbiologia, medicina interna e terapia medica di interesse fisioterapico. FONDAMENTI DI ORTOPEDIA: acquisire le conoscenze fondamentali dei principali quadri morbosi dell’apparato muscoloscheletrico di tipo traumatologico e non traumatologico dell’adulto e del bambino e i principi di trattamento chirurgico, incruento. Acquisire le conoscenze e la comprensione dei principali esami strumentali di imaging utilizzati in clinica e in traumatologia. MEDICINA INTERNA: inquadrare le patologie internistiche sapendone individuare i principali aspetti clinici e riconoscerne le possibili complicanze di interesse ortopedico, in particolare negli ambiti che possono richiedere ausili esterni ed interni di tipo meccanico e biomeccanico. PATOLOGIA GENERALE: acquisire gli strumenti concettuali e scientifici per spiegare le cause e i meccanismi delle malattie umane. Conoscere i principali fattori patogeni, i principi generali dei disordini dell’omeodinamica dei sistemi complessi, le reazioni al danno biologico con particolare riferimento all’infiammazione, ai processi di guarigione o di cronicizzazione.

Course program - Presentation of the orthopedics course and presentation of essential terms and focus on the objectives of orthopedic techniques. - Traumatology: generalities and definitions (fractures, dislocations, sprains), classifications of fractures (by etiology, trauma, fracture site, location), diagnosis and treatment principles. - Healing of fractures (role of hematoma, growth factors and stem cells, vascularization, load application), general and local complications. - Arthrosis: definition, clinical picture, pathological anatomy, radiographic aspect, most frequent localizations, principles of treatment - Low back pain and radicular syndromes: definition and references to anatomy, pathological anatomy, herniated intervertebral disc, clinical picture. Lumbosciatalgia and lumbocruralgia, diagnosis and instrumental tests, prognosis. General information on the treatment. - Scoliosis and curved back: dysmorphism and paramorphism, etiology, primary and secondary forms, the role of skeletal growth, Risser's test, hump, vertebral rotation, Adams test, early diagnosis, principles of treatment. - The shoulder: functional anatomy, the scapulo-humeral rhythm. Subacromial impingement syndrome (clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment principles), shoulder instability (subtypes, stabilization, repair mechanisms). - Congenital diseases: dca, pathological anatomy, clinical picture, early diagnosis and newborn screening, congenital clubfoot, the main types, generalities of pathological anatomy, treatment principles, flat foot, loose forms, synostoses, stiff neck, congenital and acquired, myogenic and osseous, obstetric forms. - The knee: the meniscus, meniscal injuries, causes and treatment, the clinical picture, the most common ligament injuries, diagnosis of instability, the anterior cruciate ligament, patellar syndrome, clinical picture and differential diagnosis. - Ankle and foot: physical examination of ankle and foot, gait analysis, Achilles tendon injuries, osteoarthritis and arthritis of ankle and foot, ankle instability, hallux rigidus and valgus, sesamoiditis, turf toe, bunionette, small toe deformity, infant and adult flat foot, posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, tarsal synostosis, pes cavus, diabetic foot, ingrown toenail, talalgia, metatarsalgia, orthosis, Morton's neuroma, f Plantar fasciitis - Wrist and hand: physical examination of the wrist and hand, arthrosis and arthritis of the wrist and hand, rhizoarthrosis, De Quervain's tenosynovitis, Dupuytren's contracture, flexor and extensor tendon injuries, compression of the median and ulnar nerve in the carpus
