Hygiene and food education in the children, impact on the health of the adults and the elderly. The role of the teacher, alongside that of the parents, is fundamental to give a virtuous imprinting with respect to the behavioral and dietary choices of the child at an age that indelibly shapes future behaviors. For this reason, knowledge of the epidemiological profiles of disease of the child population and of the most widespread lifestyle habits is important in a degree course in primary education, in order to make future teachers acquire the basic knowledge of the risks of disease, of the methods of prevention and education for the promotion of the health of the child. The course will be divided into three modules: - study of the epidemiological profiles of the most important infectious diseases in childhood and chronic-degenerative diseases in adults whose risk factors already act in the first years of life; - study of the methods of prevention of the main infectious diseases, with particular reference to those of the first years of life; - food composition, child's diet and health; - physical activity and health.
