Learning objectives
Artificial pancreas (AP) is an automate system to blood-sugar management. AP dramatically reduce T1D-related risks and improve quality of life of people who have this disease. AP works by measuring glucose levels and automatically administering or limiting insulin. The heart of the system is a sophisticated computer algorithms, that live on a smartphone or similar device, will link to a continuous glucose monitor sensor and insulin pump to determine blood sugar trends and control insulin delivery.
