Learning objectives
Understand how to approach the dermatological patient from a clinical and laboratory point of view

Program
The teaching program includes the presentation of the following topics: clinical dermatological methodology, general and dermatological medical history, skin examination. Description of elementary skin lesions and their evaluation. Methods of illumination, optical magnification and clinical tests. Skin reactivity and allergy tests (patch and photopatch test, prick test). Non-invasive diagnostics, dermoscopy, trichoscopy and capillaroscopy. Instrumental tests and laboratory investigations (microscopic tests on superficial samples, immunological tests, culture tests for infectious diseases). Techniques for skin biopsy examinations and utility of histology in dermatology. Direct and indirect immunofluorescence.
Didactic methods
The course is divided into two lessons (4 hours) with a subsequent practical part of interactive activity exercises carried out in small groups (8-10 people) at the outpatient facilities of the UOC Dermatology with a frequency of 2 hours for 5 consecutive days.
Learning assessment procedures
The lessons will take place on November 6, 2023, from 4:30 pm in the Dermatology classroom (Bg. Trento, Pavilion 40, fifth floor, Mameli side)
