Learning objectives

Understand the theoretical principles of bioimpedance analysis, including the concepts of electrical resistance, reactance, and impedance in biological tissues.
Acquire knowledge of measurement techniques, the instruments used, and the interpretation of bioimpedance data.
Evaluate the applications of bioimpedance analysis for monitoring body composition, nutritional status, and hydration in different populations.
Develop practical skills in the use of bioimpedance analysis in clinical settings.

Knowledge of Human Physiology
Elements of Biochemistry and Cell Biology
Fundamentals of Physics Applied to Medicine.

-Fundamentals of electrical impedance and biological models

-Resistance, reactance, and phase of impedance
-Compartment models for body composition (2-, 3-, and 4-compartment models)
