Learning objectives

The course aims to provide knowledge of basic sciences such as histology, anatomy and physiology, a prerequisite for further specialist studies that will be the subject of subsequent courses. The goal is to make students learn the morphological and structural organization of the cell and tissues, and knowledge on the development of the human embryo. The architecture and anatomical morphology of organs, systems and apparatuses and the functional significance of their overall organization in the human body will also be discussed. The basis for understanding the general organization of the human body, the functioning of the various organs and their dynamic integration into systems will also be provided.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Access to the degree course is conditional on passing an admission test which aims to evaluate the scientific knowledge acquired by the individual during previous training courses. The course requires attendance and the achievement of the objectives presupposes a basic knowledge of biology, physiology and anatomy.

Criteria for the composition of the final grade

The evaluation of the teaching objectives includes verification through oral or written interviews for each individual module with the reference teacher. Each teacher will evaluate the knowledge achieved by each individual student regarding the program covered and the scientific language used. Each teacher will assign a grade in thirtieths with a minimum grade of 18/30. The final grade will be calculated as a weighted average of the CFU assigned to each individual module.
