Program
Working with databases: the data matrix, type of variables, observation units, recoding of variables, missing data. Main position and dispersion measures. Univariate and bivariate tables (with examples from scientific articles), probability calculation, chi-square test. Correlation and linear regression (examples and practice on excel). Screening tests: sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value. Inferential statistics: main parametric and non-parametric statistical tests (interpretation). References to regression models (interpretation of results). Reading a scientific article: structure of the article, statistical methodology, interpretation of the results. Construction of a statistical analysis plan with exercise.

Evaluation criteria
There are no intermediate exams and the final evaluation is expressed in thirtieths.
