Program
The course is aimed at supporting the participants in the acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences relating to the instructional design within professional development paths in the health-care sector. To this aim, the following topics are included in the program:
- Adult learning approach in the lifelong learning perspective
- Analysis of training needs
- Elaboration of learning objectives
- Instructional design strategies
- Assessment of/for/as learning strategies

Didactic methods
A student-centred approach will be adopted in the course, with an alternation of frontal lessons and active and cooperative teaching and assessment strategies.
Learning assessment procedures
Participants are asked to elaborate an authentic task in a small group which will be the subject of a peer feedback activity. At the end of the course, the achievement of the objectives will also be assessed through a written test with open questions.
Evaluation criteria
The criteria for evaluating the group work will be explained in class and included in a Moodle section dedicated to this exercise. The criteria for evaluating the open-ended exam are as follows:
- consistency of the answer with the question;
- level of understanding of the concepts;
- level of reflection and argumentation;
- use of a language appropriate to the topics/concepts covered.
The outcome of the written exam and of the group paper worth respectively 50% of the final mark.
