Learning outcomes
The course consents a further insight on central issues of the general part and the special part of criminal law and a scrupulous critical reading of judicial decisions concerning the merits of cases, as well as the decision of the Supreme Court.
The first part of the course provides also – in a particularly topical sector of the special part – an accurate analysis of important European directive and decisions of the Court of Justice.

PART I
- Environmental crimes: the normative framework – Water, atmospheric and waste pollution: models of criminalisation and techniques of protection – The responsible subjects and the delegation of functions – Relations between special legislation and offences in the criminal code – The European directive on the penal protection of environment and the decisions of the Court of Justice – The introduction of crimes against environment in the criminal code – Environmental crimes and the administrative responsibility of legal entities (d.lgs. 231/2001)

Examination Methods
Oral interview.
To the purpose of the exam, written papers on topics indicated or approved by the course leader will be taken into consideration. Papers can be submitted only by students who have regularly attended the course.
