Learning outcomes

Good knowledge of the history of Italian Literature, from the thirteenth to the sixteenth century: texts and contexts, influences and codifications. Acquisition of critical bibliography and essential tools for the interpretation of literary structures and forms.

Program

Prerequisites: Good knowledge of the Italian language; basic knowledge of the history and texts of the Italian literature.

Syllabus:
1. Lectures of Dante: Commedia. 12 hours of lectures of Dante’s Commedia.
Study of the following canti:
Inferno, I, II, IV, V, VI, X, XI, XIII, XV, XXVI, XXXIII.
Purgatorio, I, III, V, VI, IX, XI, XVII, XXIV, XXVI.
Paradiso, I, III, VI, XI, XII, XV, XVI, XVII, XXIV, XXVII, XXXIII.
