CONTAMINATION LAB
The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.
Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

• autonomy in finding and examining primary and secondary sources relating to the topics proposed in the course.

Program
I. The native languages of America: overview
(a) Notes on the history of the investigation
(b) Notes on geohistory and North American linguistic typology
II. Focus: Native American scripts
(a) General properties of writing systems (grammatology)
(b) Characteristics of Native American writings: Nahuatl and Cherokee as exemplary cases
(c) The role of Cherokee script in the history of the nation and in today's historical-cultural context
Didactic methods
Classroom lessons, seminar moments.
Class attendance is necessary/recommended.
Learning assessment procedures
At the end of the course, participants will give a short 15' paper (strict limit) on a topic chosen from those proposed, in which they will present the result of their own independent bibliographic research compared with the notions learned.
For those who find it difficult to follow along in the classroom, it is possible to prepare for an interview on some study materials agreed upon with the lecturer.
Evaluation criteria
The exam evaluates:
1- the notions developed starting from lessons and materials
2- the ability to synthesize and argue
3- the independence in the choice and retrieval of bibliographic sources.
