Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Ce cours vise à illustrer les notions de base de la terminologie et l’application des ressources terminologiques aux secteurs du Tourisme et du Commerce International.
The acquisition of the main concepts of terminology. The use of terminology tools in the fields of Tourism and International Commerce.
Program
L’objectif du cours est l’acquisition des notions fondamentales de terminologie historique et appliquée, principalement dans le contexte français et francophone. Une attention particulière est consacrée à la variation terminologique, dans différents types de texte en synchronie et en diachronie, et aux ressources terminographiques disponibles en ligne en langue française. Des activités pratiques, par exemple l’extraction terminologique automatique, sont proposées, en vue de la consolidation et de la gestion des termes du tourisme et du commerce international.
Le cours sera dispensé en langue française.
The course is an introduction to historical and applied terminology. It aims to deal with different text types and terminological resources in French, as well as with practical activities in the fields of Tourism and International Commerce.
The course will be held in French.

Examination Methods
Examen oral en français.
Niveau de compétence requis: français C1, 4 (ALTE). Le niveau de compétence sera validé sur la base des attestations du CLA (Centro Linguistico d'Ateneo) ou d'une organisation reconnue par le MIUR.
Pour les étudiants qui suivent le cours l’examen consiste en :
a) un exposé de 5 minutes sur un sujet au choix (20%);
b) des questions sur les sujets abordés en classe (80%). Les pages des textes à préparer seront précisées pendant le cours.
Pour les étudiants qui ne suivent pas le cours l’examen consiste en :
a) un exposé de 5 minutes de à partir du texte de Zanola M.T., Arts et métiers (voir la bibliographie) (20%) ;
b) des questions sur tous les textes du programme (voir la bibliographie) (80%). Il faut préparer intégralement ces textes.
Oral exam in French.
LANGUAGE LEVEL: C1 (European Council), 4 (ALTE).
For students attending the course the exam consists of:
a) an oral 5-minute presentation on a subject of choice (20%);
B) questions on the topics discussed during the course (80%). The pages of the texts will be specified during the course.
For students who do not attend the course the exam consists of:
a) a 5-minute presentation from Zanola M.T., Arts et métiers (see bibliography) (20%);
B) questions on all texts (see bibliography) (80%).

Internships and apprenticeships
A mandatory internship period (6 CFUs) within business organizations is included in the study plan for the Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Cultures for Tourism and International Commerce (L12).
The internship is designed to provide students with practical experience in areas relevant to their future professional careers and to help them acquire specific professional skills.
Internship activities are conducted under the direct supervision of an individual lecturer and take place at professional firms, public administration offices, and companies accredited by the University of Verona.
Credits earned through internship activities will be awarded in accordance with the detailed provisions of the current “Regolamento d’Ateneo per il riconoscimento dei crediti maturati negli stage universitari” (University Regulations for the Recognition of Credits Accrued in University Internships).
