Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Through the reading of poetical, theatrical, and narrative works this course intends, with the support of critical methodologies, to individuate and develop some meaningful aspects of Spanish literature, and more generally, of Spanish culture during the period under consideration. Translation exercises and a workshop about Palabra de perro will be included in the course.

Critical introductions to the texts are compulsory readings. Non-attending students should study the poems included in the dramas and critical essays of the syllabus. Further bibliographical reference will be provided during the course.

Examination Methods
At the end of the course a written examination on the themes developed during the classes is required for students who have attended them. For those who pass such end-course-examination, an oral exam, to be taken during the Faculty official exam days, will focus exclusively on the reading, translation and commentary of the texts in the programme. The exam will be in Spanish. The workshop attendace will be evaluated as a part of the exam. The workshop may be substituted by an essay.
